Nikon D40 – Exposure .001 sec (1/1600) – Aperture f/5.6 – Focal Lenght 200mm – ISO 400
This is one of my favorite presets I use in Lightroom called Aged Photo. It mutes the color a bit and gives a soft look to it. It seems to work really well on a lot of portraits for me. I shot this one of my Z Man while he was on the sideline during his football game.

Nikon D40 – Aperture Priority (f/5.3) – Exposure .04 sec (1/25) – Focal Length 45mm – ISO 800
I shot this in Aperture Priority which means the camera takes care of the shutter speed (optimized) while I decide on the aperture (opening of the lens) and control the amount of light I let into the lens.
I liked the label on this very nice bottle of pinot noir we had at a long lunch the other day. It was truly a very enjoyable lunch out at the Gristmill in Gruene.

Post Processing – Photoshop CS2: contrast adjustments, removal of hand shadow
Casey J was running up and down the field during his brother’s football game and I shot a series of images as he got closer to me. For some reason the composition on this one stuck out the most, even though his head is partially missing.
