I’m really not much more than your ordinary person. I’m a mom to two boys, wife to a great guy who is also a super dad, daughter to two very wonderful people, sister to two younger and pestering brothers, and finally aunt to one niece and one nephew (That’s right I have produced as many offspring as my two brothers put together). I’m a daddy’s girl and my own boys waffle over being momma’s boys. I love to be outside and still love to go fishing with my dad and wish very much to pass that along to my own boys.

I think my passion for photography might be genetic. I have a few uncles who are really into it and my dad was always carrying around his Canon AE-1 35mm when we were kids. Especially when nature called on some back road with no bathroom for miles around, I learned to hold it for hours so as not to have some blackmail worthy photo of me squatting on the side of a gravel road somewhere in the country.

I’m not a purist, meaning I use post processing techniques but not on all my photos. Some call it cheating and some call it art, I just call it what I like to do. I’m certainly no pro and it’s really a creative outlet I spend way too much time and money on.

I torture my youngest boy by taking his picture, while my other boy gladly hams it up in front of the lens. Their two vastly different personalities are quite evident in my photos of them. My husband says I love my “cammie” (his nickname for the camera, not mine) more than him but that’s just silly. I love my Photoshop and Lightroom more than him. Oh, stop. I’m kidding. A little.

This site here is just to share my approach, my experiments, my opinion and that’s just about it. Hope you enjoy it but if you never click back here I won’t be offended.
