Nikon D40 – Exposure .002 sec (1/500) – Aperature f/11 – Focal Length 20mm – ISO 200 – Aperature Mode

I spent the last weekend at the coast fishing. That’s right, FISHING. Otherwise they’d call it catching. I brought home plenty of fresh fish to eat and share and it was yummy. My camera reminded me that it didn’t like coming out of an AC place into the more humid salt air. This was the first time I actually carried my D40 on the boat (inside my Lowepro bag) and the sunrise was a bit blocked by clouds and my lens had trouble de-fogging itself. The wind calmed enough for us to head into the surf and fish for a bit, I took this photo shortly after the big one I had hooked took my pole and I around the boat then decided it had enough and slipped the hook. This is one of those photos that when I think about my dad I think of something like this. Sitting or standing at the back of the boat with a fishing pole in his hand, the smell of the salt air and the sound of the waves breaking.
