Photography for me is fun, a creative outlet, a hobby, a release. There are no pressures to get the right shot, right light, color, etc. Usually I’ll take 50 photos and like 4-5 and really like maybe 1-2. I’ve begun to have friends and family ask me to do a photo shoot for them and I don’t really mind if I have the time but I get concerned about their expectations. I don’t want to waste their time and not get anything good for them, that’s really my only concern. This past weekend a little last minute I took some pictures for some friends who live right behind us. Their son is a little over a year old and I figured my best approach was try to shoot with my zoom lens and give him room to play. I shoot on continuous mode and ended up with a little more that 150 photos. I liked about half and really liked about 10. I did some post processing and the one above was my favorite. He’s reaching up for his mom to be picked up. It’s a Lightroom action called Velvia. I could do it for a living as long as it stayed fun. Below is a shot of my brothers family I did on Thanksgiving weekend.
